“The first thing I said to Basia when she was showing us around the Windrose Guest House was “did we die and go to heaven?”
“Windrose is found at the end of a short road off Stubbs Road, tucked away inside a midst of wild flowers with a lovely garden off of it’s balcony. The house itself was large and comfortable. A great place to unwind and let your hair down since it is very private and homey. There is an upstairs “study” area with rattan furniture and two small beds that I loved to sit in and read. A wonderful skylight is in the high ceilings where we could watch the clouds go by. In the morning the birds were abundant and mingled with the many kinds of butterflies. The balcony reminded me of the movie “Out of Africa” with it’s hammock swinging in the ever present breeze. Every morning I would grab my bathing suit and walk down to the crystal clear green ocean. I went kayaking all the way up to Turtle Cove one day and back and it was nice to have our own kayak that Basia supplied to us.There are miles of beach to walk along. I walked for miles and never got bored of the scenery and beauty there. There was also an alarm system and we felt safe and knew that our belongings were secure. There is an attentive staff around in case we needed anything; on call at a moment’s notice. This was the most incredible time I had in my life. This truly awesome 5 bedroon vacation villa (South Seas) will take your breath away the moment you walk thru the front door and are treated to a 180 degree view of the ocean only 25 feet in front of you. While we expected the villa to be great given what we had seen on Basia’s website, the pictures did not do the house justice at all! South Seas is amazing!
With 4 acres directly on the ocean and a separate 2 bedroon main house, 2 bedroom guest house and carriage house, the privacy is amazing. We also had several options to enter the ocean right from the house, so we enjoyed hours in the water snorkelling, paddling the kayak or watching the sunset.
Didn’t need the airconditioning in January, but it was good to know that it was available and included in the rental price, if needed. The high speed wireless internet was also reliable and made the unpleasant task of checking our work e-mails at least tolerable as we set by the lap pool soaking in the sun.
We especially loved the Carriage House. It was like a honeymoon oasis and my newly married daughter co-opted it immediately!
What’s greater still, is that you could see fisherman going by in their boats. We took a chance and waived one in, only to purchased some freshly caught lobsters, grouper, and conch. They tasted great on the BBQ grill and we enjoyed elegant dining in the dining room, but still in our shorts and barefoot. All is all, we enjoyed our slice of heaven!

This was one of the best relaxing vacations ever (at Spindrift villa)!!
Waking up to the sun shining into the house, taking a cup of coffee out by the pool to read my book in the morning, all while listening to the trees rustle in the wind and the birds singing their songs…life couldn’t have been better!! My peace of mind was eased greatly with the advanced security system that surrounded the perimeter of the house. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms super clean, pool was refreshing and the kitchen was ready to cook…overall, it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to the next time I can go back!!!

Bright Idea is a great villa on a great island in an ideal setting. The house was great for us. Away from the “tourist” crowd but close enough to enjoy the shopping and great restaurants. We were especially impressed there is an excellent restaurant 1/4mile away on the water overlooking Chalk Sound-Las Brisas. The layout of the villa is great, we put the teenagers in the guest houses so we didn’t have to hear their late night activities. The pool is great, but having your own private beach new beach right on Chalk Sound was simply awesome. . We also took the short walk over to Taylor Bay beach almost every day. It was gorgeous and the white sand beautiful. This would be a great beach for families with young children as the slope is very gentle and ther’s lot’s of shallow water to play in. Our teenage boys played frisbee and water football. We used the kayaks a lot and were amazed that there are iguanas on the little islands in Chalk Sound! The service from Basia (property mgr)and her gang was fantastic, they even helped us pick restaurants in the evenings and all were good. All in all, we had a great and very relaxing vacation in a very private villa with beautiful views. It was wonderful to hear the water gently lapping at the shore every night to send you off to sleep.

The vacation at Windrose was a delight. We stayed at both the beachhouse and the cottage. Both were terrific.
The ocean front beachhouse is ideally located on Grace Beach, only 200 feet from great snorkelling and within an easy ‘beach-walk’ to a number of very good restaurants. Besides the spectacular view and sea breeze, the beachhouse has a Carribbean charm and character that you would be hard pressed to find in a hotel or resort. The beachhouse itself was spotless and comfortable. The open floor plan in the living area ensured great cross breezes so the air conditioning was really never needed. It also meant that there was an uninterrupted ocean view from the kitchen, the indoor dining area, the salon and the master bedroom. The huge outdoor deck with loungers and hammocks and another dining area meant that you could even get the ocean experience without ever touching the sand – if you were so inclined.
The cottage had a lovely garden view, bougainvilleas, cactus, oleander, azaleas. It is only a few steps from the beach and was equally spotless and comfortable, very private and cozy.
The property managers are very professional and welcoming, and made every effort to ensure that the holiday experience in Turks was a great one.
Add to this the fabulous weather – bright blue skies – temperatures of between 78-82 – the rain respectfully arriving at night so as not to ruin any day time activities! – the mesmerizing ocean colours and waves – beautiful parrotfish, groupers, eagle rays, turtles and tangs to swim with – great books to read – all in all a wonderful, soul refreshing, vacation

“Not one person in our very large group was disappointed!”
I will just reiterate what other travelers are saying about the house (Windrose). Every aspect of the it suited our every need. Also, Basia and her team were amazing throughout the rental process, making everything a breeze from my original inquiry to check out.
You wont be disappointed with the stunning views from the wraparound porch, the cleanliness of the house, and how it has everything you’ll need to enjoy your fun in the sun. The house is in the perfect location on the island, with plenty of great restaurant options just a short walk down the beach (and plenty more just a short drive away.)
Everybody in my very large group (we had the 3 houses at capacity) had nothing but great things to say about the house. Nobody was disappointed with any aspect of it, including location, amenities, and value. I’m convinced that there isn’t a better option available for a large group on the island.

Not long ago we were basking in the warm, beautifully turquoise waters of Turks and Caicos. I had the tricky task of putting together a family gathering of 18 to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday over the Christmas holiday. To add to the challenge, three years ago we celebrated my fathers 80th in Italy, an amazing vacation we still talk about. This trip therefore had high expectations!
I can’t thank you enough for your stellar recommendations during our stay–your efforts lessened my burden considerably and it was truly a joy working with you. You responded to my every request with amazing efficiency! Your choice of lodging was magnificent and accommodated our group of perfectly–Windrose Estate and Spindrift couldn’t have been better–exquisite private homes on the greatest beach we’ve visited–”relaxing” “beautifully situated” “charming” and “dreamy” were just a few of the remarks I heard from our party.
Thank you so much for introducing us to our private chef Kalua whose team created the freshest, most elegant home-made meals imaginable! We all dined al fresco on the fabulous wrap around porch at Windrose each evening and arose to a wonderful breakfast every morning.
The Grace Bay location seemed very private, though many amenities such as parasailing and quaint beach bistros were just a short walk away. The snorkeling immediately out front rivaled the guided tour we took later in the week. Before our departure, we all made a vow to return–hope to see you soon!

I cannot explain how beautiful the beach is…the house’s backyard is a postcard! Basia met us at the airport and had us follow her in the car we rented – remember, they drive on the left! After a 15 minute drive from the airport, we approched the home. Basia opened up the front door to Villa Del Sol for us and all of our jaws dropped…I have never in my life seen such a beautiful view of the ocean! The colours of the water were none of which I had ever seen! The home was spacious and decorated very nicely. After Basia got us settled in our home for the next week, the kids darted for the beach – adults too! We could not get our feet in the water fast enough. We were shocked that there was not anyone on the beach – we could only hear folks talking in the distance next door. We spent the next week soaking up the sun in the pool and spectacular beach. There are tons of restaurants within a few miles but you definitely need to rent a car. Overall, the vacation was fantastic and I cannot stress how hard it was to leave!
