For the second year running, the Turks and Caicos Islands has taken pole position in the Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice Top 25 Beach Destination in the World, beating out some of the globe’s most famous vacation spots to take the crown once again.
The World-famous Grace Bay Beach on Providenciales once again did the trick, as travelers who voted voting gave glowing testimonials of their vacation spent on the majestic powdery white sandy beach hotel strip. The country’s breath-taking barrier reefs were also adored by the travelers who participated in diving and snorkeling, while newlyweds also found TCI to be the perfect honeymoon spot.
For the top spot, the TCI beat out Palm/Eagle Beach, Aruba, at number two; Tulum, Mexico, at number 3; Negril Beach, Jamaica, at number 4; St. Pete Beach, Florida, for number five; Boracay, Philippines, for six; Cancun, Mexico, for number 7; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for number 8; Miami Beach, Florida, at number nine; and Varadero, Cuba, rounding off the top ten.
Comment on feedback from the travelers who visited that website to write about the destination, Trip Advisor wrote: “What makes this little Caribbean island the Travelers’ Choice top beach destination for the second year in a row? Families love it for its uncrowded beaches at Taylor Bay and Grace Bay. Divers and snorkelers flock there to explore the bountiful barrier reef, including Smith’s Reef and its ocean floor walk. And newlyweds find it a perfectly romantic place for a honeymoon.”
Providenciales also beat out the competition to capture the Caribbean’s Beach Destination.
